What is Macy's return policy?

We want you to love your purchase, but if you are not completely satisfied, we gladly accept most returns by mail and in stores within 90 days of purchase for free. Exceptions are noted below. Returned items must be in original, saleable condition with original tags. Shipping and delivery fees are non-refundable.

Note: Any new or gently used Cosmetic or Fragrance product purchased at Macy's that does not meet your needs will be accepted for return.

Apple Products

• Apple products can be returned within 14 days of purchase
• Apple merchandise can only be returned to Macy's stores selling Apple products; Apple items purchased online can be returned by mail or at applicable stores

Area Rugs

• Area Rugs purchased online: Returns can only be made by mail and cannot be returned to store. Contact us at 800-289-6229 within 30 days of delivery to request a return. Oversized rugs will require scheduled pick up by a carrier. Returns of oversized rugs based on preference will be charged a $99 restocking fee. . 
• Area Rugs purchased in-store: Returns can be made at The Fine Rug Gallery located in select Macy's stores within 7 days from receipt. Contact us at 888-241-8288 (available Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm ET) to arrange a pickup for your return (pickup fees may apply).

Designer Merchandise

• Designer merchandise including Gucci, Longchamp and Tous can be returned with tags attached within 14 days of purchase to a Macy's store carrying the brands.
• Alexandre London custom orders are not eligible for return or exchange
• Burberry merchandise can be returned within 30 days of purchase or sale merchandise can be returned within 14 days of purchase at Macy's Herald Square. All returns must have the Burberry tags attached and, where applicable, hygiene seal attached. All returns must be include the original receipt
• Louis Vuitton merchandise can be returned within 30 days of purchase at Macy's Herald Square

Fine & Bridge Jewelry and Watches

• Jewelry and watches can be returned with price tags attached within 60 days of purchase
• If a piece of jewelry or a watch is returned, the item undergoes an inspection process that lasts up to 14 business days. Credit will be issued after the inspection has occurred.
• Special order merchandise and items that have been altered for size are not eligible for return or exchange
